Bis(triethanolamine) diisopropyl titanate (also known as di(triethanolamine) titanium diisopropylate, CAS No. 36673-16-2)
As a chelating titanate, it is used as a Lewis acid catalyst for esterification/transesterification/condensation reactions, offering mild and efficient reaction conditions; it acts as a guar gum crosslinker in oil well fracturing fluids to form high-viscosity gels; it serves as a crosslinker in water-based coatings and latex paints to improve water resistance and scrub resistance; it can also be used as an adhesion promoter to enhance bonding to metal/oxide surfaces, and is used in the preparation of adhesives, inks, and composite materials.
