Titanium(IV) tert-butoxide

Tetra-tert-butyl titanate (CAS No. 3087-39-6) is used as a titanium-based precursor in the sol-gel method for preparing nano-TiO₂ powders, thin films, and titanium-based functional ceramics; it acts as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic synthesis (such as transesterification and condensation reactions); it is used as a crosslinking agent and adhesion promoter in coatings/inks to improve weather resistance and hardness; and it is also used for interface modification of composite materials, enhancing the compatibility between inorganic fillers and organic polymers, thus contributing to research and development in the fields of optical materials and electronic ceramics.
